Built to protect you on the job and on the trails, the new Carhartt Men's Blucher boots are constructed with the finest materials and utilize premium waterproofing to keep your feet truly protected. These boots not only look heavy duty, they're also functional, lightweight, and incorporate several technologies, such as: a Vibram rubber outsole that resists oil, chemicals and slips. For comfort, they feature an OrthoLite insole, padded collar and OrthoLite comfort tongue. Performance features include a molded TPU heel counter, achilles flex joint and EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) midsole. Yeah, these boots mean business!

Our Thoughts:
Earlier this month we had an opportunity to break these boots in ourselves in the office, on the trails, and even in the rain and now were happy to share the result with you!
Comfort: (9 out of 10) After taking half a day to break them in, these boots were actually quite comfortable. The Vibram rubber outsoles absorb shock while the OrthoLite insoles provide ample support and feel as if they mold to your feet the more you wear them. Having been produced from leather these boots breath and are surprisingly lightweight.
Durability: (10 out of 10) The construction and materials that have gone in to these boots are second to none. They were built to last and can handle just about anything you can through at them.
Waterproof: (8.5 out of 10) These boots are waterproof up to the bottom laces. Any higher then that and you might get a little damp. If you're not stomping around through deep water this shouldn't be a problem. These boots preformed very well in mild rain and wet conditions for the most part. Just keep out of standing water more than 3 inches deep and you'll stay dry.
Value: (9 out of 10) Taking into account the longevity these boots were built to provide we can say they are a great buy at their current suggested retail price. And if you can find them on sale you're way ahead of the curve!
The Bottom Line: If you work hard and play harder the new Carhartt Blucher boots were made for you and your lifestyle. We highly recommend them for anyone who is looking to upgrade from their current clod-hoppers. They're flexible, absolutely comfortable, mostly waterproof and seriously durable. Next time you're in need of some new boots, do yourself a favor and check out the Carhartt Blucher, we think what you see!
