The Waterskiing Seat or "Ski Seat" is basically a chair that is mounted to a pair of waterskis which lets you waterski from a stable seated position. This Waterskiing Seat which was introduced almost 50 years ago, lets you steer with a pivoting mechanism by leaning to one side or the other which causes the skis to carve the water in the same direction. Just like in wakeboarding or regular waterskiing, you have to hold a rope especially when crossing the boat's wake. The vinyl-covered chair is padded with 2" of closed-cell foam that absorbs the bumps from riding waves and the stainless steel frame and hardware and wood/laminate skis ensure years of use. Check out the video below. Personally we can see how this would be fun and more comfortable than waterskiing, but the trick possibilities would be fewer and the stance not as aggressive as the real thing. Still a cool thing to try! You can buy the Ski Seat for a price of $700.
