The Deus Ex Machina bobs W650 is lowered 35mm, shorn of its fender, fitted with the tank from an SR400 and equipped with a modified standard seat that retains the key and flip-up as well as chopped versions of the standard bars. 2009 Suzuki Gladius Motorcycle

2009-suzuki-gladius%20.jpg

The 2009 Suzuki Gladius was introduced yesterday at the Suzuki US dealer conference and boasts a SV650's V-Twin powertrain wrapped in a steel-truss frame. The Suzuki Gladius will come in at 202 kg wet, (445 lbs.), 8 kg heavier than the SV650. Suzuki has revealed little about the bike, but the frame appears to be a combination of steel trellis and an alloy casting, with basic suspension and brakes to keep your wallet full. A great entry-level bike for beginners as well as commuters wanting more affordable, greener transportation, the Gladius will get you where you need to go in cool green, style. Suzuki Motorcycles.

Enertia Electric Motorcycle

enertia-electric-motorcycle.jpg

Brammo, makers of the Enertia Electric Motorcycle, has just raised $10 million from investors that include Best Buy Capital to move forward production on the Enertia electric motorcycle. The Enertia Electric Motorcycle is a bit similar to the Zero X lithium-ion electric dirt bike, except that it's a road bike. Anyway, the Enertia manages over four times the energy efficiency of the most popular hybrids and over twice the efficiency of an all-electric car, gets 45 miles per charge, and comes with GPS and is WiFi-enabled (helping you calculate your carbon savings). The Enertia Electric Motorcycle will sell for about $15K, with the first bikes out around Q3 2008, or $12k if you can wait longer.

Vincent Nero Motorycle Concept

vincent-nero-motorycle-concept.jpg

The Vincent Nero Motorcycle Concept is an answer to skyrocketing fuel costs and increasing congestion levels. Created by transportation design students Ian Galvin and Craig Mackiewicz as their senior thesis project, the Vincent Nero Motorcycle Concept is an effort to design a motorcycle for the new golden age. This Vincent Nero concept is their vision for the era's ideal motorcycle, one that combines the romance of the past with an economical, but fun to use, mid-size v-twin engine and an upright riding position and a heavy front end, emphasized engine, evocative-of-speed seat thing. The abrupt tank and pinched lines combined with the exposed rear shocks add attractive mechanical elements. In addition to the attractive-yet-functional Nero, Ian and Craig also envision a Nero S, potentially available as another model or as individual part upgrades.
