Unlike most heated clothing, the Scarpa Grizu Heated Footbeds feature a thermostat that uses a microprocessor to regulate the heat based on the outside temperature. The thermostat keeps the temp at 38 Celsius, but you can change it with a remote control that lets you increase the heat how you like it. Grizu Heated Footbeds can be inserted into any boot or shoe with a removable insole. The Heating Support Footbed even functions in humid conditions. If you get into water the electric circuit automatically protects itself and once dried out will work the same. Also Included is a battery charger with a double outlet so the right and left insoles can be charged individually, and rechargeable lithium batteries that use similar technology to mobile phones and stay charged for up to 7 hours.
