Make sure you have the edge on your friends to make it truly memorable.
For me, a golf holiday with the lads is the pinnacle of summer. Through all of those wet and miserable winter months, I sit on my work computer on my lunch hour and read the reviews and scour the offers available. All I ever seem to do is dream of being in the sun and playing golf.
All of us that play the game know that golf is an obsession and that we HAVE to constantly improve. This blog will give you all the hints and tips you need to beat the lads on your golf holiday, thus giving you the bragging rights for the 12 months ahead!
1. Instruction and Tuition: Anyone who plays the game will tell you that tuition is the key to success. Yes, we all swing the club in a different way and we all love self-diagnosis. However, tuition and instruction from a professional can improve your game rapidly.
2. Watch the Videos and Read the Books: If you’re looking for something more casual than tuition then I would recommend watching YouTube tuition clips and reading golf magazines. All the swing hints and tips are in there so you can watch/read and practice all at your own leisure.
3. Feel Smart, Play Smart: As golfers, we are often petrified of the ‘all the gear, no idea’ cliché. However, looking good on the course is vital for getting yourself into the right frame of mind to play well. If you look good, you’ll feel good too and this will help you relax on the course. Why not visit My Golf Locker to see the latest styles?
4. Get the Gear Ready: This may sound basic but make sure you have everything ready and clean. If you’re rushing and searching on the 1st tee then you can easily get flustered and hit a poor shot that your round doesn’t recover from. Never take chances and always prepare fully for a round, whether it is a practice round or a competition round.
Once all of these hints and tips are taken into consideration you’ll be able to relax and enjoy your time on the course knowing that you’re more prepared than all of your friends. So, start practicing today as you never know, they could make that all important one stroke difference!
