Nintendo Wii Balance Board
In an effort to expand the appeal of video games to older people and women, Nintendo has created a new Balance Board controller together with a purpose-designed fitness game with weight loss in mind. The Nintendo Balance Board, which doesn't look anything like a conventional video game controller, will be used to control a variety of Wii games such as Wii Fit that are designed to keep you in shape. The Balance Board controller will also be able to measure your weight and detect the exact position of your body's center of gravity, and measure how it shifts as you move your limbs or lean. No word yet on pricing and availability of the Wii Balance Board.
