A new commuter bike like this Dahon IOS XL Urban Commuter, which has been dubbed the "complete urban commuting solution," promises to narrow the gap between the convenience of a folding bike and the comfort, rideabiltiy etc. of a regular one. This new new commuter bike is a whole other animal and features significantly larger wheels (around 24 inchers) and a whole lot of goodies the typical cycle commuter could possibly need for a ride to work like a phone/GPS/device charger, bike pump and lights integrated directly with into the bicycle. Other cool features include disc brakes and Shimano 8-speed hub gearing.
No word on when this one is going to be out for retail. Dahon.
