ILLUM Cycling Jacket
The ILLUM Cycling Jacket combines safety and fashion and is based on emerging wearable technologies such as printed electroluminescent ink and printed photovoltaic technology (solar power). The illumination effect of the ILLUM Cycling Jacket is powered by a solar charged thin film battery which activates the lighting by means of a transparent conductive layer. The illumination can be switched with a soft switch on the sleeve. The jacket is designed to help cyclists stand out in the dark roads. A great idea! So far that's all it is though.
