A folding guitar like this Jetson Guitar Concept By Daniel Mapp can come in handy when packing light and low maintenance. Any guitar player knows that you can't carry around a regular guitar without banging its neck on something and potentially breaking it. Daniel Mapp's solution and his school masters project was to cut the neck in half and fold it down into the body, allowing it to be easily tucked away into a backpack. The Jetson Guitar Concept also abandons the wooden fingerboard for a fretless aluminum one, which is said to give it long-lasting sustain and a unique tone. The result is a minimalist guitar you can tuck away into a backpack. A great concept we'd hope to see become reality someday!
