Electric roller skates like these from Skataz may be a foreshadow of things to come. Though these Electric roller skates aren't out yet, the guys at Skataz are to hype this cool idea in an effort to get funding. "Compared to the previous model called iShoes, Skataz are smaller, fitting around the shoe closer and making it better to maneuver, are size adjustable, fit in a backpack, have a swappable battery, are lighter, have a better speed controller and are safer with covered wheels." Skataz skates have a 13.5mph top speed and excellent acceleration with the 350 Watt motor and high performance gearbox and come with a rechargeable & swappable 13.2v Lit-ion battery with 30 minute run time with 130lb rider. We'd like to see these on the sidewalk soon!
