Adidas marketing has reached new heights! Some of their new advertisements include the world's biggest fresco (800m²) at the Central Train Station in Cologne and a giant Oliver Kahn diving over a 4-lane highway and welcoming guests from all over the world at Munich airport. Very cool!

Yamaha Deus Ex Machina Wearable Motorcycle Concept

Plain motorcycles where too boring for Art Center Pasadena student Jake Loniak so he decided created the Yamaha Deus Ex Machina Wearable Motorcycle Concept. Inspired by Biomechatronics, the Deus Ex Machina is an electric vertically parking motorcycle controlled by 36 pneumatic muscles with 2 linear actuators. The Deus Ex Machina is worn like an exoskeleton and features seven artificial vertebra as well as the pneumatically attached helmet. The motor is in-wheel, powered by ultra-capacitors and doped nano-phoshpate batteries similar to those already used in hybrids, and is capable of 0-60mph in 3 seconds. Top speed is 75mph with a recharge time of 15 minutes and cycle time of 1 hour. Thanks for thinking way ahead of our time Jake! Very Cool!

Skinny Houses in Japan

Since lots are often very small in Japan, and land assembly is difficult, Japanese architects have become specialists in designing these really thin houses. This minimalist approach is efficient and sporty!

"Billboard" Single House
The Single House, also nickname the Billboard House, from Poland's Front Architects, offers modern/crazy domestic living space supported by a central mast. The Single House can then be installed above a variety of ground conditions, from the middle of a meadow to an urban core, lake etc. Reportedly you can also pack the roof with solar panels, or a wind turbine generator to make a fully self sustaining unit. Cool what a weird and unique way to live. Ideas like this are the future.

Trutex GPS-Enabled Uniforms

Lancashire-based manufacturer Trutex is actually thinking about adding satellite tracking devices to school uniforms as a way to reduce truancy levels after an online survey indicated a good majority of parents are worried about their child's safety. The survey also found that 59 percent of the 800 adults who voted, expressed interest in uniforms with tracking devices. The tracking device originally came from English clothing company, Bladerunner, who revealed revealed last week that it would start selling stab-proof t-shirts, hooded tops and school blazers to parents worried about their children being attacked. Are these good solutions to the crime in our schools? Are these manufacturers going overboard and trying to make money out of fear? You be the judge.

Rodenator Pro Pest Elimination System - Caddyshack to the max

In caddyshack trying to kill the gopher was like an impossible task which became a sort of sick sport in the end. Well the Rodenator Pro Pest Elimination System ($1,890) says goodbye to primative rodent control methods such as poisons or labor-intensive trapping. With the Rodenator Pro farmers, ranchers, nurseries, golf courses, water districts, even schools and park districts can become "bosses of the burrows". The Rodenator Pro uses a precisely calibrated mixture of propane and oxygen that is injected into the rodents burrow. A built-in, self contained ignition system then ignites the mixture, creating an underground shockwave or concussion that instantly eliminates the rodent and collapses the tunnel system. Yes it all sounds very evil, but the makers of the Rodenator say that compared to the other methods, the death for the rodents is quick and painless. Yeah i guess getting burned alive is the best way to go if your a rodent. Well it is what it is. Rodenator.
Check out the video of the Rodenator in action...
